Our Tiny Team

Tyler Choquette (they/them)

They initially fell in love with fitness based movement as a form of cross-training and rehabilitation for dance. Since their move to New York to attend the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program, Tyler spends their time dancing professionally, guiding clients of all ages through sessions, learning new gymnastics skills, and tending to their numerous plants at home. As a professional dancer and ACE certified trainer, Tyler fosters a fun, empowering, and inclusive atmosphere in their sessions. As a trans person with chronic health complications, Tyler pays special attention to shifting movement away from its highly gendered language and able bodied focused culture. They believe strength of body leads to strength of mind and that physical training can create breakthroughs for all of us regardless of the identities we hold.

Tyler also adores teaching children and holds numerous certificates under the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. They teach healthy movement patterns and how exciting moving your body can be through dance, gymnastics, and fitness-based play. Tyler often says their cheeks hurt from smiling so much!

Tyler takes their knowledge they discover as an artist, teacher, trainer, student, and from personal lived experiences to connect with their clients. Tyler is open to working with all clients. They are particularly open to sliding scale clients, especially queer, trans, BIPOC, and clients with disabilities.

Twyla

Twyla loves any kind of movement that involves chasing a feather or a jingly bell. But her favorite piece of equipment is probably kale stems, which she inexplicably hunts anytime they are on the menu. Virtual clients will get to experience her motivational background zoomies and occasional unprovoked biting.
